They would certainly have a list of all the resources available in the area. I am a BIG fan of support groups for fathers. It is where I first came out and found myself feeling at home. If there isn't one, I would suggest starting one. The one I attended had no leadership or structure. We just got together socially and discussed issues as they come up. How about publishing a notice on Craig's list, meet in a coffee show or some neutral territory first. Keep it simple. If there is an LGBT resource center, they may also help you get one started. I am still friends with many of the men who were in my original group, and it began over 25 years ago. We don't have formal social events, but we do get together and go out or have dinners together. I have been gay since i was a boy but i did what everyone wanted me to. I have had hook-ups for 15 years until i fell in love with a 19 year old for 3 years. It ended badly. I came out to my wife kids and family. I have a long story with this but was wondering is there a support group for gay married men in the Charlotte NC area. We had a small ceremony in our UCC church with just our family and then a huge reception for over 300 people with followed. We wanted the ceremony to be small and intimate, but we also wanted all o four wonderful friends to share in the experience. I asked the pastor to preach on two pieces of scripture; 1. Love God and love one another 2. God's truths are still being revealed. Our minister did a wondeful job with that. Any thing I can do to help? I am happy to talk about our wedding.
